Avramiou Beach
Avramiou beach is a very beautiful quiet beach, which belongs to the municipality of Messini. It has clear blue waters and wonderful golden sand. It offers plenty of space to freely enjoy your bath, while a little further on there is also the beach bar Velika, where you can get everything you need! It is located between the beach of Velika and the beach of Analipsi.
“Rock Pool” Beach
Between Trachila and Agios Nikolaos you will encounter a wild beauty. “Rock Pool” Beach, which is exactly what its name suggests. It is unorganized, with difficult access and basically between the huge and imposing rocks a natural pool has been created with wonderful blue-green waters where it is like taking a bath in a normal pool! If you want to visit it, you should have bought the essentials in advance as the beach does not have a bar.
Elaia Beach
Elaia is the northernmost beach of Messinia and is only 10 km from Kyparissia. One of the elements that makes it unique is that the river Neda flows into it. Its waters are crystal blue and crystal clear, while every year it hosts the eggs of loggerhead sea turtles. If you’re lucky and a morning type, you might see them swimming in the shallows! The entire area is included in the protected areas program of Triphylia. The pine forest behind the beach is one of the largest in Greece and makes the landscape seem exotic. If you want, you can enjoy your bath freely or get what you need from the beach bar on the beach!
Agiannaki Beach
Very close to Kyparissia and Kalo Nero beach, you will find Agiannaki Beach. A very beautiful beach where there is a sandy beach on the outside and pebbles on the inside and crystal clear waters. If you prefer unorganized beaches, it is one of the ideal options as it does not have sunbeds but there is a canteen from which you can get what you need during your swim. Just a little caution as if you are with small children it is good to know that the waters get deep!
Vounaki Beach
Very close to Kyparissia you will come across a beautiful beach of several kilometers with wonderful waters, Vounaki beach. It is ideal for those who love fine, powdery sand but at the same time unorganized bathing. This particular beach, although it has all the specifications, does not have a beach bar as it belongs to a Natura protected area. Therefore, those who love peace and quiet, then Vunaki is the right destination for you!
Almyrolaka Beach
Immediately after the beach of Voidokoilia you will come across a small cove, the beach of Almyrolakas. A wonderful, organized beach with incredible golden sand and turquoise waters. If you happen to be in the area, it’s definitely a dip you won’t want to miss, as long as you stock up in advance as the beach doesn’t have a canteen.
Giannitsochori Beach
North of Kyparissia you will literally find a beach that is like straight out of a fairy tale! The beach of Giannitsochori has a sandy beach, a large area and beautiful waters. Sfaktiria Beach
The beach of Sfaktiria is located on the islet of Sfaktiria which can only be reached by boat from Pylos. Although you will need to get everything in advance, it is really worth diving into its wonderful waters. It has shallow, crystal clear waters and wonderful fine sand. The landscape is lush and mesmerizing and literally the greenery makes the whole view tropical!
Gnospi Beach

Verga Beach
Just 5 kilometers from Kalamata you will find Vergas beach. It has very beautiful, calm and warm waters while its coast is surrounded by fine pebbles. It is full of beach bars where you can relax on the sunbeds and enjoy your swim! The beach of Verga has all the infrastructure, umbrellas, sunbeds, cafes, restaurants and anything you need you will find there. Together with the nearby beach of Almyros, it is one of the most important tourist resorts of Kalamata!
